Our Altpocket experiences: The best crypto tracker!

What is Altpocket?
The crypto sector is thriving and more and more people are choosing to dive into the crypto pond. The problem is that the crypto sector is not neat. It is made up of many different overlapping areas, each with their own risks and wonderful opportunities. It's one of the reasons cryptos are so interesting!
These days, most crypto investors will be using more than one exchange. Tracking investments across multiple exchanges is a complex task. However, a number of instruments have been added to try to facilitate this process.
Altpocket is a relative newcomer to cryptocurrency tracking applications. However, we do see a lot of positive Altpocket reviews that paint a picture of a well-designed service. A unique suite of tools allows you to keep track of your investments and the latest ICO lists, as well as discuss crypto news with a vibrant community of experts.
We decided to take a look at Altpocket's features for ourselves and see if it lived up to its positive press.
A guided tour through Altpocket's feature list
Portfolio management
The heart of every crypto tracking app is the portfolio screen. The depth and detail of information is important, but the most important thing about a portfolio screen is that you, the user, can get a quick overview of your investments and funds, and we believe Altpocket fully meets this requirement.

The top three main numbers indicate investment value, portfolio value and profit. Below you have your inventory with the basic details at a glance. Tap on a coin and you can see more detailed information.

What you see above is the current dashboard, also known as Dashboard 2.0. Compared to the developer's previous dashboard (available as a legacy offering for users of the old user interface), the design and usability have made great strides.
Watchlist
A watchlist only makes sense if many coins can be observed. Altpocket supports over 1300 coins. Even if it could be more, it's quite respectable. The watchlist is clean and clear. As you can see in the picture below, some features are still under development. We also see opportunities for improvement in the view, e.g. various filter options that enable you to use Coinsu.a. filter by duration of investment.

Dashboard
Altpocket approaches the idea of a dashboard a little differently than other providers. Here is the basic screen:

Note that you can add widgets here so that you can always keep an eye on practical information. It is a standardized data offering that focuses on your portfolio, your watchlist and your holdings. For those who spend a lot of time in WordPress or other dashboard-based content management systems, the widget logic feels extremely comfortable and familiar.
The social element that Altpocket integrates in the middle of the dashboard and thus in the daily user experience is particularly eye-catching. That changes a lot about how you end up working with Altpocket. It's a very collaborative experience with you constantly looking to talk about crypto. This goes straight back to one of the key ideas in Altpocket's vision statement: "We want to create the number one social trading platform for cryptocurrencies (...)."

Altpocket is a conversation platform right down to the developer himself. That doesn't mean that his main focus is on the social area. Each member has their own interests and primarily use Altpocket to keep an eye on their investments. The dashboard has social elements, even if it's not everyone's taste.
So much of crypto is about collecting information, processing ideas, and analyzing what is heard and seen. With the ability to talk about current and future developments and browse through public feeds, Altpocket lets its users learn from each other.
Problems or concerns
Altpocket is currently a viable product. Even without its innovative social platform, you can manage a portfolio, keep a watchlist and keep a good overview of your investments. Thanks to the hard work of the developers, the interface has become a mature product. In fact, I'll go as far as to say that I think the interface is a mature product.
However, there is still a lot of work to be done, especially additional features to be introduced. Allesan Altpocket suggests activity and thinking. This is a fast growing service and we may be curious about where the developers are going to use it next.
There was a persistent problem with this platform related to the lack of Altpocket Binance support. Unfortunately, this was a deal breaker for many investors who were curious about Altpocket's social characteristics. However, the problem has been resolved since early 2018, as full Altpocket Binance support has been added as part of a series of improvements to the investment system.
Is Altpocket Safe? In our opinion, there is no cause for concern. When researching the support forum, a larger proportion of customers are looking for additional functions, but no one reports critical security concerns.

Is Altpocket worth a try?

Yes, in any case. Because of its innovative character, Altpocket has received such a positive evaluation. Even if you ultimately decide for yourself that the social element does not suit your needs, we recommend that you at least try it out. It opens up an interesting space for research, vibe testing and general crypto conversation. The user interface is well thought out. It would benefit from some additional features, especially on the watchlist, but the development team is active and dedicated. The recent introduction of full Altpocket Binance support is strong evidence that the development team is listening to consumer demand and making it a priority.
Altpocket is a crypto tracking service that stands out from the crowd. His social focus is a breath of fresh air and the user interface design shows great attention to detail. It will be interesting to see it grow.
