Delta App ▷ Our experiences with the crypto portfolio tracking app!

Delta crypto tracker app

What is the Delta Crypto App?

It was in the deep ancient past of 2017 when the Delta crypto app first hit the stage and into the hearts and minds of investors in need of a better crypto portfolio tracker.

Delta was developed to provide an intuitive and low-maintenance platform for tracking cryptocurrencies. Building on a solid suite of tracking tools, Delta also strives to offer a complete solution for portfolio decisions. To make this possible, it offers a dynamic picture of the market as a whole, with the latest coin prices, market charts, and even a highly configurable warning system so you are always one step ahead on investment opportunities.

Here is a quick guide to some of its key features, along with some thoughts on why I believe it is a great portable option for managing your crypto portfolio.

A foray through Delta's list of functions

Portfolio overview

One of the biggest challenges to making smart decisions about crypto is finding a way to fight your way to the top of your portfolio so you can "look down". Without a way to see across the spectrum of your portfolio, two things will happen. You lose track of the positions and miss crucial opportunities.

Delta shines as a portfolio management tool for one simple reason: It was specifically designed to make strategic decisions easier. It gets the kind of decisions you're going to make and places as few clicks as possible between you and what happens.

As someone with easy analytical paralysis, I appreciate Delta's intuitive portfolio display. It's easy. In crypto, where rapid changes and ever-evolving abstractions can melt the brain like processed cheese in the microwave, I really appreciate it when someone finds a way to make something easier. I think Delta excels in this department.

I can see all of my stocks and any major market changes without knocking, squinting, or messing around. Even better, I can look at my portfolio at 3am after a couple of beers and still quickly understand what's happening.

Coin analysis

At this point, it's probably worth noting that Delta supports a wide variety of coins.

All of your usual suspects are represented, of course: Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ripple, and Bitcoin Cash to name a few. There are no surprises. But you will also find some seriously obscure coins supported. The packaging says that over 2000 coins can be processed via Delta. I didn't count, but it looks right. You can even add custom coins, a long overdue feature that is essential for covering ICOs that have yet to go public.

So, the first thing to say about Coin Delta coin analysis is that you can get as exotic as you want. For those of us who enjoy experimenting and speculating on the weird and wonderful spectrum of altcoin, this in itself is a huge plus.

Regarding the quality of the analysis you will get against your crypto tokens, I am assuming that the Delta Crypto app delivers a solid and well presented analysis. Can you go deeper Of course you can. To sniff every meaningful signal on every coin, you have to be more creative and intuitive than any individual app allows. But Delta gives you everything you need for highs, lows and total volume in an attractive, easy-to-understand format.

With a convulsive jerk of my thumb, I can change my views and insights about any coin from chunky to grainy. It's a similar experience to the one I described with the portfolio view of the Delta Crypto app. They make it quick, easy and intuitive. The data gets into your eyeballs quickly.

Transactions

The app's transactional feature doesn't come with any surprises, but I think that's a good thing when it comes to handling crypto transactions. Any platform that needs more than a few screens or too many fancy visuals is starting to get me discouraged when it comes to transferring coins.

With Delta, it's intuitive and straightforward. You are looking for the cryptocurrency that you will be using for the transaction. Then choose the exchange. Then add the transaction details. A big plus is that a transaction can be added or subtracted from a holding company. That way, you don't have to double your work by entering the Flingin 'Flangin' data twice.

By now, hopefully you will notice a common denominator with the Delta App Crypto Experience. A lot of work has gone into making the user interface as simple as possible. With this app, you'll usually find that you can navigate the screens and make decisions without having to think too much about the interface itself.

The best way I can describe it is that it frees up mental bandwidth. Maybe I'm lazy, but playing around less with fiddly screens and buttons is a big win for me.

Warning messages

It's probably worth taking a step back and mentioning the Delta Crypto Watchlist view. Maybe it won't win design innovation awards, but again, its nullity is exactly what I'm looking for in a crypto tracking app. If I want flowery, I go to my mother and steal some pot pourri.

Would you like to order it differently? Click the sort criteria. Would you like to take a look at the hourly gimmicks of a coin? No problem. Tap the time filter. It's just enough functionality to have a quick look at what you're keeping track of. I also like that it's easy to add and remove coins in just a few simple steps.

Then we come to the alarm functionality of the Delta platform. It's easy to set up personal notifications for any cryptocurrency you're watching. While the repetitive alarm feature won't be of much interest to everyone, for those interested in cyclical changes in value, it is a smart option to have on hand.

However, the thing that I appreciate the most is the simple fact that the app will get me excited when something important happens. Don't get me wrong, the option to review my Delta portfolio while I buy Pringles at Walgreens at 2am is pretty cool. But where the Delta Crypto App comes into play for me is that it actually allows me to use my coins to forget, while I'm out and doing something else. Any app that makes me lazy and eats my Pringles in peace is a good investment.

Delta is offered across platforms.

I have tired, not yearly eyes. Staring at a phone screen for too long makes me almost as grumpy as staying up after 22 p.m. So I'm very grateful to the developers for allowing users to cast their data on a decent screen. With the added screen real estate, the Delta portfolio screen is much easier on the eyes than its tiny smartphone counterpart. Delta offers apps for both Mac and Windows PCs.

Problems or concerns

CSV import is not a thing yet.

If you want to transfer your existing data to this platform, you will have to wait a little longer. There is currently no method for transferring an existing record, but I do realize that the developers have scheduled it for release in the near future. Given their track record of being responsive to customer inquiries, I would recommend theirs Support pages check for updates.

You have to pay for some features.

The free version of the Delta Crypto App only allows one portfolio. To be honest, this takes little more than "more" from me. One portfolio is enough for my already overloaded brain to watch and wait. If you are a hardcore, multi-portfolio owner of Blackbelt in Crypto-Fu then sorry, you will have to pay for the Pro version to get that luxury. Also, in fairness, it's probably worth noting that the monthly fee they charge peanuts are.

Alternatives

The two obvious alternatives out there are Blox and block Folio. Both have their passionate followers and their detractors who mouth open mouths. If you want to manage multiple portfolios for free I would take you to Blox. If you're looking for a tool that integrates deeper coin research, Blockfolio will likely suit you.

It goes without saying that they all have their strengths and weaknesses, and a lot of it boils down to how we think and use the data.

Results

So, is it worth trying?

In our opinion, yes. The Delta Crypto App works in a way that feels compatible with my way of thinking. Its graphs provide enough data to tell me something meaningful without plunging my brain into a state of analytical paralysis. The Delta Portfolio screen is clear, simple and "just enough". The delta crypto alarm and watchlist layouts also impress me with their simple, non-flowery solidity. Somehow it just seems to make me (in a good way!) More lazy than other platforms I've experimented with. While the Delta crypto app is clearly great for beginners, I get the impression that it can keep up with the demands of serious investors too.

How to use Delta

The Delta app is pretty painless to set up. Five minutes is all it takes to manage a delta portfolio screen and use the warning and watchlist functions.

  1. Go to https://getdelta.io
  2. Select the device you want to use it on and follow the instructions to download and install the Delta Crypto app.
  3. Do you see that huge, mysterious plus button banging in the middle of the screen? Click or tap on it.
  4. This is where you have to make your first decision. You can add a transaction manually or connect an Exchange account. The Exchange account is a guided process that aims to minimize technical issues. If you choose to manually enter your first transaction, a separate screen will appear where you can enter all of the information.
  5. Once you've completed the form, your Delta Portfolio screen is fully set up. All you have to do is keep it updated.
  6. Next, to take full advantage of Delta’s features, you should set up your watchlist and get some notifications. Start by clicking the All-Seeing-Eye button at the bottom of the screen.
  7. Do you remember the whole thing about the enigmatic plus button in step 3? That is the same. Click on the plus and enter a few coins to look at.
  8. Tap on a coin that you've just added and you'll get a screen that gives more detailed information. You can also start the warning screen here.
  9. Do you see the tab that says "Warnings"? This is the button that the madmen at Delta use to set up an alarm. I told you this app is intuitive!
  10. Click the funky blue cross to set your first alarm. Enter the exchange and trading pair, then set your threshold. Finally, decide whether the delta crypto alarm should be one-time or repetitive.

That is literally all! In ten steps you manage a portfolio and have some cryptanalysis tools that will make your life easier. To drill deeper, just jump into the Delta crypto support pages. They are well cared for and easy to understand.

Summary

I fell asleep somewhere around the portfolio bit. Can you summarize this whole article in 30 seconds or less?

For sure! Delta is designed to provide an intuitive, low-maintenance platform for tracking cryptocurrencies. Much effort has gone into making the design very simple and intuitive.

Application weaknesses

  • To manage more than one delta portfolio, you need to pay a small subscription. To manage multiple portfolios for free, visit Blox.
  • It is not intended to help you conduct detailed coin research. Other software does that better. Try for example block Folio out. Personally, I think it's better if you do it yourself, regardless of an app.

Strengths of the Delta app

  • It's clear, well designed, and NOT unnecessarily fancy. It is designed to be easy to use. The developers have gone to great lengths not to saturate the app with redundant data, making it a lot easier to work with.
  • It supports over 2000 coins including obscure crypto. This makes the app more versatile and a good platform for experimenting and speculating.
  • The advantages of warning messages should not be underestimated. Having an app that will wow you when something requires your attention is fantastic and after getting used to this feature I don't want to be without it anymore.
  • There is a mobile and a desktop version that synchronize. That means you have the luxury of seeing your entire Delta portfolio on one big screen. That makes everything easier.

You can watch the app here look at. It's a cryptocurrency tracker that you should definitely check out. Good luck!
