How to buy cryptocurrency on KuCoin
The first thing you need to do is find the official abbreviation for the cryptocurrency that you want to buy from KuCoin. This will help us to find the right market on the exchange. We'll show you using the Electroneum example:
- Go to Coinmarketcap page.
- Enter Electroneum in the search box.

- Right next to the Electroneum's name you will see the letters ETN in brackets. This is the official abbreviation for crypto. In order to conduct our trade in Elektroneum, we know we need to look for the ETN market.
In this example, we are going to buy Elektroneum with Ethereum and select the ETN / ETH market to trade. However, you can use this method to buy any cryptocurrency on the exchange.

Once you find the market, simply click on it to go to the trading screen.
When you are taken to the trading screen, you will need to enter your two-factor authentication code to start trading.

You will now see the full trading screen. It looks complicated at first, but don't let that put you off. Simply enter the amount of ETN you want to buy in the "Amount" field and click "Buy". You can also click on "max" to spend your entire KuCoin balance on ETN.

Once you have clicked on "Buy", your trade will be processed and your Electroneum will appear in your KuCoin account.
How can you withdraw crypto from the exchange?
Even though we can recommend the KuCoin exchange rate, you should withdraw your cryptocurrency from the exchange and transferred to your personal wallet. Why should you consider this? The reason for this is that a large number of cryptocurrencies are stored in exchanges, making them great targets for hackers. Having control over your own cryptocurrencies is better than trusting an exchange to keep your cryptocurrencies secure.
We'll show you how to withdraw your funds from the exchange:
- Once logged in, click the Assets button at the top of the KuCoin website. Then find the cryptocurrency that you want to transfer and hit the "Withdraw" button.

- Then enter the public address of the wallet you want to send your crypto to, the amount you want to withdraw, the answer to the security question and the 2FA code and confirm with one click. As soon as this is done, your cryptocurrency will be transferred to your wallet by KuCoin and stored.

Note: KuCoin will always show you the fee. Just make sure you are happy with the fee before hitting the "Confirm" button.
Is KuCoin Safe?

Sensitive data in encrypted and additional security levels such as two-factor authentication have only increased the security of the platform. KuCoin also has its own internal risk and operations department, each with strict internal standards.
