Ark wallet facility
When you've gone through the official Ark site, you'll be taken to the official Github repository.

As you can see, the latest version of the Ark Desktop Client is 1.6.1. Select the installation file suitable for your operating system: Select .exe for Windows,. dmg for Mac and. deb or. tar.xz for Linux.
After you have downloaded the appropriate file, install the program on your operating system.
When the desktop client is started, the main screen is displayed. You have two options here: import an account or create an account. For the initial setup, please select "Create Account".

The next screen gives you a secure “passphrase” for your wallet. This backup passphrase is twelve words long and must be kept in a safe place. You can think of this passphrase as the PIN for your Ark Coin account. Nobody is allowed to find out this passphrase.
It cannot be emphasized enough how secure and private you should keep this information. Note, however, that if you lose the passphrase, Ark cannot help you regain access to your wallet.

Once you've securely stored your passphrase (preferably written down in physical form on paper), Ark will validate your information by entering random words from your passphrase. After entering the appropriate words, click on the "Create" option.

Next, you will be taken to your transaction page. However, you must first read the terms of use and the privacy policy of the Changelly-Accept integration. With this integration, users can now trade other cryptocurrencies against Arc or purchase Ark with a credit or debit card.

Next, Ark will display a small pop-up window where you can see the conversion rate between Ark and other cryptocurrencies.

You can also receive Ark into your wallet using the address you see at the top of the screen.
How to put Ark through the peg
Ark is a digital currency that uses the Delegate Proof of Deposit (DPoS) as a means of confirming / producing blocks on the blockchain. With your Ark Coin, you vote for or remove a delegate. With your vote, you can choose who you want to support. Perhaps you have a specific community or friend that you want to support. You can do this by voting for them as a delegate with your Ark Coins.
The top 51 delegates will receive rewards, so do a little research before casting your vote.
Before we get into how you can cast your vote in the Ark desktop wallet, let's explain a few things about voting:
Only one Ark address can vote for a delegate. If you want to vote for more than one delegate, you will need to split your Ark wallet into multiple addresses.
An ark has a voting weight of 1. This means the more ark you have, the more voting you have.
So if you have 500 ark, then your voting rights are equal to 500 ark. But if you split your wallet into two equal wallets (to vote for multiple delegates) then each wallet has 250 ark voting rights. Make sure you want to vote for two delegates before splitting your wallet as you will essentially lose half of your voting rights.
After all, there is a fee associated with every vote and disagreement, however there are some delegates willing to refund your voting fee.
Vote
First, open your Ark desktop wallet to get started.
Make sure you are in the wallet from which you want to cast your vote. Remember that voting and unvoting come with a corresponding fee.
Next, you'll want to select the Votes tab located under your wallet address. When you're there, click on Vote, and a pop-up will appear on your screen.

Here you can enter your active delegate. From the Active Delegate drop-down list, select the delegate you want to vote for. If the selected delegate does not appear in the drop-down list, you can also enter the name manually in the “Delegate Name” field.
When you are sure you have selected the delegate you want, go to the “Passphrase” field. Enter your passphrase here. Make sure you are using the passphrase that matches your worksArk wallet address is assigned.
Now press the “Next” button.
The next screen you see is an overview of the previous transaction. When you want to confirm your transaction, click the "Send" button.

If everything goes well, you will see a green banner in the lower left corner of your wallet. This lets you know that the transaction has been transmitted over the network without errors. If there is an error you will see a red banner. Some common mistakes are insufficient ark or wrong passphrase.

If everything went well, the voting option on the tab will be grayed out. This is because you can only vote for one delegate per Ark address.
unvoting
If you want to un-vote, open your Ark desktop wallet and navigate to the “Votes” tab. Again, make sure that you are in the correct Ark wallet.
Also, keep in mind that it will cost Ark to withdraw a vote, so make sure you want to take this step.
On the right side of your delegate you will see an option to unvote. Click that button and you will again see a popup that will guide you through the un-voice process.

You should see your delegate's name in the “Delegate Name” field and a field for entering your passphrase. After entering your passphrase, click "Next" to complete the transaction.

When you are ready to complete the transaction, click the "Send" button. Your transaction will be carried out and if everything is successfully completed you will again receive a green banner in the lower left corner of your wallet.
Once the transaction has been successfully completed, your voting list in your wallet will be empty again.
